How is this different from a venture capital fund?
We are not a VC fund. Fifth Element Ventures is an introduction and origination business: we identify relevant opportunities and investors and facilitate the connection between them. We don't simply circulate decks, we want to understand both sides before making an introduction.

What's the difference between funding, capital and investment?
In practice, not much. Funding, capital and investment are the words people use interchangeably for money a business raises to grow. What differs is the source and the terms: a bank loan is debt funding, a VC round is equity investment, and growth capital is typically equity or hybrid investment from private investors, HNW individuals or family offices, which is what we introduce.
